In the week ending August 7, refinery margins declined across all regions. Asian margins saw a significant drop from $42.87/bbl to $36.17/bbl, down -$6.70/bbl w/w. European margins ended at $24.74/bbl with a change of -$0.77/bbl (w/w), and US refinery margins closed at 34.73 $/bbl following a decline of -$3.96/bbl w/w.

  • European Margins saw overall weakness this week, headlined by the GO Crack falling -$3.77 /bbl w/w to $66.96/bbl. EBOB Crack reversed this decline, rising $0.30/bbl w/w to $30.21/bbl, while Naphtha Crack experienced a slip of -$0.61/bbl w/w to -$3.60/bbl.
  • Asian Margin depreciated significantly across both benchmarks this week due to strong selling pressure on refined products. On Dubai cracks, the GO Dubai Crack plunged by -$15.27/bbl w/w to $76.08/bbl, accompanied by Kero cracking falling -$4.76/bbl w/w to $63.99/bbl and 92 crack dropping -$4.59/bbl w/w to $23.98/bbl. On Brent cracks, the largest mover was 92 Crack at -$4.85/bbl w/w to $17.25/bbl, followed by S10 BRT falling -$3.69/bbl w/w to $57.86/bbl and MOPJ crack declining slightly -$0.83/bbl w/w to -$0.84/bbl.
