Volumes posting huge uptick week-on-week but are still down on a yearly basis.

In the week ending 9 January 2026, exchange traded futures volumes showed significant increases w/w across instruments in the first three tenors, as traders came back on desk and the geopolitical risk has risen again. Brent futures volumes more than doubled across March and April tenors, while for May volumes were up 224.91% w/w.
