Quiet North Sea, jumpy flat price and loudmouth Trump all in one day!

The US has issued two general licences – there are now 50 in total! The first one allows Chevron, BP, Eni, Shell and Repsol to resume oil and gas operations in Venezuela. The second broadly permits companies to negotiate contracts for new upstream investment, but explicitly excludes transactions involving Russia, Iran, Cuba, North Korea or China, or entities controlled by those parties. Yet Trump has a “very good” relationship with Cuba – whose fuel crisis is deepening thanks to the blockade…
