In the week ending 13 Jan, the M1 Brent futures contract witnessed incredible strength, rallying to a high of $65.90/bbl, and continuing to rise above $66/bbl on 14 Jan - the highest level seen by an M1 Brent futures contract since October 2025. However, prices have since eased to $64.50/bbl at the time of writing on 15 Jan.
